All the members of the EASE project got together for their first consortium meeting to discuss the activities of the next two years, as well as their cooperation and mutual support throughout the life of the project.
On the 5th and 6th of December, the 10 partners of the project EASE – Empowerment Approaches and Social Enterprise were hosted by the French core partner Elia, and together with the other two core partners, Basta and Diagrama Foundation, organised a 2-day meeting. This meeting allowed for everyone to get to know each other and exchange ideas about how to make the most out of EASE. The partnership is made up of the aforementioned core partners, and 7 other organisations from across Europe:
- Fryshuset – Sweden
- La Claie – France
- Action with Communities in Rural Kent – UK
- Communita San Patrignano Societa Cooperativa Sociale – Italy
- Jegersberg Gard - Rehabiliterings - og kompetansessenter – Norway
- FundaciĆ³n Diagrama Intervencion Psicosocial – Spain
- X-Cons – Sweden
The meeting also allowed for preparations for the next visit to Sweden, where a week-long training workshop will be held for the preparation of the transfer of the Basta model to the UK and France by Diagrama Foundation and Elia, respectively. In addition, an interactive workshop on how to create sustainable enterprises held on the 2nd day of the visit proved to be very useful, and gave the partners much to think about.
All the partners are very much looking forward to the development of the project, and have begun to make the necessary preparations for this innovative model transfer.
